If there is one story that my kids love to return to over and over again it is Goldilocks and the Three Bears. I added these favorite Goldilocks characters to our recent kindergarten math activities, making hands-on learning fun and connecting our math lessons in with our story reading activities.
Learning from Goldilocks
Because we love read the story of Goldilocks, we enjoy reading a few different versions to compare and contrast. Some of our favorites include the stories by Jan Brett, Byron Barton, and James Marshall.
There are lots more versions. In my picture book lesson plan, I annotated more than 20 different versions. Strawberry and even Raisin enjoyed reading the different versions. It became a fun theme to our story times together. Strawberry also practiced retelling the story by illustrating the story herself.
