Your daily schedule is one that can change from day, so use the task cards to rearrange the events of each day. Each task cards (about 1-inch by 1/2-inch) has an image and word label and additional pages let you enter your own text for the labels. Use the cards to rearrange your daily plan to give your young kids a visual schedule for the day.
Labels include
- household chores (like Clean bedroom, Vacuum, Set the table, Fold laundry)
- daily personal chores (like Get dressed, Brush teeth, Eat breakfast)
- locations (Pool, Dentist, Doctor)
- school subjects (History, Math, Science)
- and many more
But, if these labels are not what you prefer, use the editable pages to change the labels to what you want them to say.
HOW TO PREPARE: Print the schedule and the visual chore cards. Cut out each visual card. If desired, laminate the schedule and the cards for durability. Add one side of the hook-and-loop tape to the schedule. Add the other side of hook-and-loop tape to the visual schedule cards.
HOW TO EDIT THE SCHEDULE: The pdf file is a form that you can fill out! Open the PDF in Adobe Reader. Scroll to the editable pages. Click on an area with a blue square. Write your desired phrase in the blue box, and press tab to go to the next box. Resave the document to keep your entered text for the next time you open the file.
PLEASE NOTE: The images are not editable. Also, not all of the visual cards will fit on one schedule. You will need a separate place to store “unused” labels for each day.
It is hoped that this customizable visual schedule can help you plan your day, morning, after school time, or evening with your kids.
