It’s July, so in addition to having a much-needed break from homeschooling, I have been reflecting on the last year of homeschooling as well as planning for our upcoming year. Over our years of homeschooling, we’ve had a lot of changes. But one thing that doesn’t change is my desire to make homeschooling a fun, relaxed, and fulfilling experience. Using supplements from the Homeschool Grab Bag helps me to add in some of the fun stuff that is not always on the schedule.
What is the Homeschool Grab Bag?
The Homeschool Grab Bag is a beautiful collection of learning materials at a steeply discounted price. This year, the 2021 Homeschool Grab Bag includes 60 products from over 35 contributors and it’s only $27.95! Each resource, then, is only 47¢ each!
This collection of supplemental material can help us tie in some additional learning into our studies and provide a little step away from the mundane.
Why Get the Homeschool Grab Bag?
The Homeschool Grab Bag provides resources, activities, and supplements for all subject matters and multiple grades, just perfect for homeschooling families who need to cover it all! This is my issue when it comes to homeschool bundles! I have a 8th grader (doing high school work), a fourth grader, and an elementary school student. Most bundles just cater to part of that. This is a bundle for it all.
There are many more reasons to give the Homeschool Grab Bag a try, even if you have just one part of that age range. You get amazing discounts, you supplement your own curriculum, and you can add lots of fun alternatives in to your homeschool mix!

Resources to help fill curriculum gaps
This is the time of year that I start to begin scheduling out the entire year and figuring out how it will all fit together. At this point, I start to see what I don’t have. Music! Fine Arts! Geography! The Homeschool Grab Bag provides resources to supplement curricula in a variety of subjects. Here are some products that stood out to me to help me fill out the extras that aren’t in our history, English, math, and science plans.
My 4th grader and I need to do some responses and study-as-we-go plans for the books we’re reading this year. These ones are perfect for her age: Sarah Plain and Tall, Number the Stars, Homer Price, and Anne of Green Gables.
I need help planning for my son! He’s doing high school work now, and next year he’ll start driving!! These look so helpful. The Four Year Plan, Digital Homeschool Planner (so pretty!),Regency England + Jane Austen study, and Student Driver Journal + Log (gulp!!).
Fine Arts and More to Supplement
I don’t typically buy a full curriculum for Fine Arts, so here are some great supplements to our piano lessons (for the olders) as well as fine arts appreciation for everyone! We also have a history curriculum but not a geography plan, so we’ll add in some of the US studies with that.
