Use these number mats and ten frames for practicing early numeracy concepts!

Page 3 has two ten frames with numbers 1 to 10, coins behind the numerals. Use these for basic 1-on-1 correspondence. You may also wish to cut out the numerals to use as on the blank activity mat (page 9). Or, you could play a game with young students. Roll a die and add that number of coins. Then, roll again and add more coins. The first person who gets all 10 numbers covered first wins!

Page 4-8 have ten frames from 1 to 10. Students can use these to recognize how many coins fit on a ten frame for each numeral.

Page 9 is a blank activity mat. The pot of gold is empty, and the number square also is. Laminate it and have students put coins in the pot and write the answer with dry erase marker. Or, use the numeral squares to provide an assignment for the student to put coins in the pot.

Pages 10-19 have coins in the pot as well as numerals pre-printed on the number square. Students can use the coins in the pot as guides to practice 1-on-1 correspondence.
