Hey teachers! Or maybe you’re a parent and your child has a teacher. It’s often hard to think of what to give to teacher friends, so I’ve joined in with some blogger friends to present a printable QR code book for teachers. If you’re a teacher, consider it a gift from me. Otherwise, print it out for your favorite teacher to give them your thanks for their hard work.
This craft book contains 8 learning activities for preschoolers and early elementary.
None of them require specialty materials, so you can easily find the materials at a craft store or grocery store.
To assemble the book:
- Print the two pages with the activity cards
- Laminate if desired for durability
- Cut out the activity cards (for a total of 8 cards)
- Punch a hole in the upper left corner of each card
- Put the cards on a book ring
List of materials to create the learning activities kit:
- Laminating sheets (optional)
- U.S. Map
- Salt Dough
- Dinosaur figurines
- Chocolate Cake Mix
- Plastic container
- Small Shovel
- Embroidery Hoop
- Popsicle Sticks
- Foam Number Stickers
- File Folder
- Paint Chips
- Play Dough
You do not need a large amount of any of these items, so you can buy a package and separate the items to create multiple gifts. Money saver!!
To use the QR Code learning book, the recipient will scan the code to go to a blog post with the complete directions and the free printables for them to download.
I love QR codes! All you need is QR code reader or your smart phone or tablet. Most of them are the same. After downloading the app, open it and position your phone so that the QR code (the square with the funky dots) is in the center of the viewing area. Your device will scan it and take you the website you need for directions and the free printables.
