Fine Motor Skills Learning with Sticker Books

Post by Rebecca Reid Leave a Comment

One thing my daughter loves to do is play with stickers and play princess. A great book we have allows her to do both together. Using The Sticker Dolly Dressing Princesses book, she can practice her fine motor skills by manipulating stickers and she can practice “dressing” by putting the stickers on the princesses in the book.

Playing with stickers is great fine motor skills practice!

Strawberry enjoys her princess book. I like that there is simple text on the top of every page. That way, even when the stickers have all been positioned, we can still read the book together!

The stickers in this book are not repositionable and if you try to take them off and put them on again (as Strawberry has) then they lose their stickiness. But, I have to say that even though some of the stickers are a bit small and difficult for her, she still spent 45 minutes during my son’s class this morning playing with the princesses and telling me about their adventures!

You can get Sticker Dolly Dressing Ballerinas (which does have reusable stickers) at my Usborne Books and More consultant shop.

I’d love to also get the first sticker books, because these are even less difficult to manipulate for little hands.
