Parents of young, non-readers can follow this set of curated content to practice early Spanish skills and enjoy learning a new language. Each lesson includes embedded videos, flashcards, activities, online games through Boom Cards, and more.
The main curriculum is Salsa Spanish, which is available for through PBS Education and on YouTube. This course takes it a step further by adding fun activities to each lesson for family and friends to enjoy.

Begin a Spanish learning adventure with a favorite fairy tale, with a slightly new twist. This lesson introduces some important words from the Goldilocks and the Three Bears story, with an emphasis on the grande, pequeño, and mediano.
In this lesson, we practice counting up to 5, we practice the opposites hot/cold and hard/soft, and we pretend to make vegetable soup, all in Spanish!

Rebecca Reid has a bachelor's degree in English and teaching experience as a writing tutor and also as an elementary-level teacher at local homeschool co-ops, where she has taught language arts, Spanish, history, and STEM. She loves creating games and hands-on activities for her kids, especially activities with an emphasis on great books.
Rebecca has homeschooled her 3 kids for 10 years. Homeschooling is the most difficult thing she's ever done, as well as the most rewarding.
