Best Homeschool Curriculum Deals

Post by Rebecca Reid Leave a Comment

Are you a veteran homeschool or a newbie? Either way, make sure you know where to get the best homeschool curriculum deals. The Homeschool Buyers Co-op is the first of my go-to places to get the best homeschool curriculum deals. Through the Homeschool Buyers Co-op, I access group buys on subscriptions, discounts on curriculum, and more. Even if you have seen it before, it’s time to take another look. The entire site has been updated this summer!

Note: I was compensated for my time in preparing this review, and all opinions are my own. I have been using Homeschool Buyer’s Co-op since the start of my homeschooling years in 2012!

Free Homeschool Resources

First, you should know about the abundance of free resources available to homeschoolers at the Homeschool Buyers Co-op. The first thing I discovered all those years ago was the free teacher and student ID cards to print. (If you don’t have a printer, you can order a PVC laminated copy of the card for shipping costs.) A teacher ID is so handy because many brick-and-mortar local stores accept it as a teacher’s identification for additional discounts. Think craft supplies from Jo-Ann Fabrics and books from Barnes & Noble!

The Homeschool Buyer’s Co-op also provides a list of more free curricula. Or, click on “free” in the Shop to see lists of free trials for many of the items for sale. The list of contests and scholarships can come in handy, as can the state-by-state field trips guide. Check out the Homeschool Buyers Co-op’s tips for COVID-related homeschooling too!

Discounted Homeschool Resources

Another bonus to being a member of the Homeschool Buyers Co-op is the discounts. Just like Costco lets you stock up on family-sized volumes of towels or toilet paper, the Homeschool Buyers Co-op provides “bulk” discounts. Thus, we can get homeschooler discounts. We’ve taken advantage of the various subscription plan discounts, like Brainpop and Discovery Streaming. There are also special discounts (sometimes via limited-time offer and others available all the time) on the curricula that we regularly use.

In the past, I’ve been able to get discounts on I.E.W. materials, Times Tales, Real Science 4 Kids, and Explode the Code. When possible, I’ve linked curricula recommendations to the Homeschool Buyers Co-op pages when I wrote my Get Started Homeschooling series. At the Homeschool Buyers Co-op pages, one can search for a specific curriculum or browse options by subject.

For anyone homeschooling, becoming a member of Homeschool Buyers Co-op is a no-brainer! It is free to join, your information is always kept confidential, and discounts are readily available.
