It’s time for another Teaching with Technology post, and this week I’m featuring a YouTube channel I have found. Minute Physics give just moments to basic and not so basic subjects.

This week has been full of distractions! I can’t say we got much school done, but it was a great week for learning, so I am not too worried. I keep telling myself that Raisin is already ahead for his age, so why rush through thing just to say we did? That said, I need […]
This week I’m focusing on an app that helps teach and practice basic algebra…for young children! By using images, children learn to balance both sides of a page in order to get the solution. It’s tricky the way math is made in to a game, but never mind, because the game is fun!
This week’s Mentor Monday (a link up feature at The Reading Tutor/OG blog) is about using text to help teach figurative language. I realize I am a day late this week, but I am very excited about this topic and have a few perfect books to highlight similes and metaphors.
Last year, I was a pretty new blogger and Valentine’s Day week was very stressful to me because we did not get school “done.” I feel like laughing at my reaction last year. I am a lot more laid back this year. This year, Raisin decorated Valentines on the computer again and we went to […]

Whether it’s bitter cold outside or the snow is coming down just a bit too much, some days we find we’re stuck inside a bit too much. Homeschooling is hard, but when we’re stuck inside due to the weather, our moods go downhill. Are you facing the same difficulties? When regular school is not a great […]
My goal this week is to be more patient and loving to my kids. It seems appropriate given the Valentine’s Day holiday this week! What is your goal this week? image credit: pippalou
This week was relaxed. I took an “unschooling” approach this week and I loved it! I believe Raisin did too. This morning, at the end of his hour of listening to Mozart, he said, “You know, if I had to go to school, I wouldn’t have time to do this!”
